Qualifications:
• Engineering degree is required, Mechanical Engineering preferred
• Ability to read, understand and explain mechanical drawings
• Extensive experience with Excel, Pivot and Vlookup especially.
• Ability to present and communicate concepts and ideas.
• Ability to apply basic and business approaches to problem-solving (plan, analyze and execute).
• Experience analyzing and applying problem solving to business issues.
• Ability to work in a team environment
Job Responsibilities
• Responsible for purchasing and planning of assigned technologies per MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning)
• Negotiate cost reductions, Lead time, Capacity and favorable terms with suppliers
• Gathers quotations, examines bids, compare and makes awards
• Reviews ECO (Engineering Change Order) for cost impacts and implementation
• Monitor suppliers’ quality
• Define sourcing strategy and develops new supply sources when required
• Works with off shore outsourcing partners (supplier, inter-company)
• Interprets and evaluates contract provisions
• Organizes, updates, and retains product information files and purchase order records
• Reviews orders for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with existing policies and proced
