Job Description

Our client is seeking several experienced and highly qualified Engineering professionals to work and support their Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division, remotely throughout the United States and work in the capacity of Substation Field Engineer. The chosen candidate will join a team that brings extensive skills and experiences to field service engineering. You will function as the responsible electrical commissioning engineer for assigned projects. The ideal candidate should possess experienced in wiring check outs, panel testing, CT testing, relay programming and testing, troubleshooting, etc. Approximately 75% travel will be required for commissioning and testing while 25% will be utilized at the local office.

Job Responsibilities

•Provide safe, efficient and accurate commissioning of new transmission substation equipment prior to it being released for transmission operations. •Development of check-out guides, review and approval of test results and isolation plans, and the development of energization plan to minimize system risk. •Communication across multi-disciplined teams to include electrical contractors, customers, regional technicians, transmission operators, design engineers, planning/protection and project management to ensure successful and timely project completion. •Challenge project designs for correctness and reliability standards. •Providing limited field design services to correct minor design problems
