Job Description

SUMMARY
Designs and develops image processing algorithms for flat panel display inspection systems. Key player in providing application engineers with support for existing products in the field.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Degree (Masters preferred) in CS/EE/CE or equivalent.
• 2+ years professional experience designing, testing and optimizing image/signal processing software.
• Deep understanding of Image/Signal Processing theory
• C/C++, MATLAB and OOD/OOA skills.
• Windows, UNIX, Solaris background.
• Machine Learning experience a plus
• Parallel processing experience a plus
• FPD (Flat Panel Display) or Semiconductor inspection systems experience a big plus

Job Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. • Designs and develops image processing software for Flat Panel Display equipment by coding, debugging and testing of application software. • Consults with application and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between image processing algorithms, hardware, and relevant software components, and operational and performance requirements of overall system. • Provides extensive field support and willingness to occasionally travel for customer beta tests or solving customer issues. • Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation of criterion for obtaining resul
