Job Description

Our client, a major food, snacks, candy and confection manufacturer is seeking an experience Quality professional to join their national team, located in the LA County area, to work in the capacity of Quality Assurance Manager. The chosen candidate will hire, supervise, coach, train, develop and manage the performance of QA Inspectors in accordance with their Union contract. The ideal candidate will possess a background in the food manufacturing industry, coupled with strong leadership skills. Candidates should possess strong food safety and experience with the design and implementation of quality programs, coupled with updating and maintaining WMS.

Job Responsibilities

* Collaborate, partner and participate in the development of client food safety and quality programs. * Lead daily product evaluation, reviewing trends and identifying areas of opportunity. * Manage foreign material program by conducting investigations, reviewing trends and identifying areas of opportunity. * Lead bi-monthly facility audits and is responsible for verification of corrective actions executed. * Monitors GMPs and food safety practices. * Investigate and implements corrective actions for customer complaints. * Manages the Product Hold program including updating WMS and ensuring accuracy. * Interacts with raw material suppliers to discuss corrective actions on any quality issues.
