The recipient of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Air Force Academy (AFA), Ricky Mantei subsequently earned a master's degree in personnel management from Central Michigan University. He came within one term of completing a PhD in the subject at International University in 1982, but instead accepted a United States Air Force offer to fly F-16s and serve as a pilot instructor in South Carolina.Industry Experience
