My Networking Pitch
Bacteria creates a sticky surface known as plaque that then sticks to a person’s teeth. However, brushing and flossing can help remove this plaque before it is mineralized to tartar. Tartar then becomes a gathering area where bacteria releases toxins to the gums. When our body notices these toxins, our gums typically begin to respond with inflammation. Each tooth has gum tissue that forms a pocket. This pocket is warm and dark, which is the perfect condition for bacteria to continue to grow.
